| The fourth
diocese of Malankara Catholic Church came into existence by
bifurcating Trivandrum Archdiocese on 16 December 1996, and His
Excellency Most Rev. Lawrance Mar Ephraem was enthroned as the first
Bishop on 3 January 1997 at Christuraja Cathedral, Marthandom. He
was followed by His Grace Most Rev. Yoohanon Mar Chrysostom on 1
July 1998. |
